Rest and Be Thankful (est. 2014) was chosen as a name for this range given its position on the A83 as one drives from the major Scottish centers of population to the whisky meccas of Islay and Campbelltown; it is a beautiful spot, named after the inscription on a stone placed by the soldiers who built the original military road in 1753, a place where travelers would certainly “Rest and Be Thankful” after the long walk through the beautiful valley…
